Hi! My name is Anna, and I’ve been an Oboist since I was 12 years old. (That’s just over 20 years now!)

I decided to make an Oboe Site around 2012, after years of searching for other good ones dedicated to the Oboe…

It’s taken me a lot longer than I expected to fit everything in here that I want to – indeed, I’m still frantically editing and trying to squash in as much info as I can, for all of you that are just first learning about the Oboe – or even for you more seasoned performers out there.

So … I sincerely hope you enjoy all the info and Oboe stuff I’ve gathered and am still gathering up.

Like I say on the front page, please please feel free to hit the Contact button up above, or leave a comment if you have any suggestions, requests or comments… I’d love to hear from you.

Happy blowing, reading, listening and playing, and all the best in your Oboe endeavors!!!

  1. Hi Jorge,

thanks for your comment! I have in fact been a busy girl, it’s very true 🙂 I always feel bad neglecting the site, so I’ll take that as encouragement, and get my nose back to the grindstone shall I ?! I’d love to hear any requests or suggestions you might have … so please do feel free to write in again. It’s always good to hear feedback! Cheers 🙂

  2. Hi Abby,

thanks for your comments! I must admit, I feel a bit guilty as I’ve not been on the site for some time now, but it’s always lovely to hear from a fellow Oboe fan, and your comments are inspiring me on to get back on here and add some more pages. Truly, the Oboe is a gorgeous instrument. The tone is my favourite characteristic. We should start up a poll on who likes what best shouldn’t we??

Anyway, thank you again for your comments, and I hope you come back and have something else to say soon. All the best, 🙂 Anna.

  3. Hi I’m Abby, I play the oboe and I love this site! More people should be more passionate about oboes! I’m an oboist at heart, and always will be. I think you should have oboe games or quizzes I can’t find them on other sites. Also (I feel the need to share this with a fellow oboist), you should check out the reed cases and PENCILS on this site: http://www.infinitireeds.com AMAZING! I have a few. Love them, check it out! Continue to embrace your oboe!
